Sunday morning my cell phone rang, my sister from Ontario called to say it was the first time she had heard me singing on the radio in real time, without me calling to say, I'm doing an interview listen to me. She unplugged her headphones and woke her husband to let him know. The song playing was a cover I did of Stuck in a Moment That You Can't Get Out Of by U2, and sadly this week it is an appropriate song as news of an accidental overdose and a teenage suicide reach my ears. I'm sending a prayer for those gone and for those left behind. Take some time, watch out for yourself, your friends, your family. Step in when you think you should. Be grateful and be thankful. Life can be fleeting.
